Terms of Service

Welcome to ARC Platform ("Platform", "we", "our", or "us").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

You confirm that you are legally capable of entering into this agreement under the laws applicable to you.

ARC Platform enables authors to securely distribute Advance Review Copies ("ARCs") of books to reviewers, manage reviewer access, collect reviews, and monitor reading progress.

We provide hosting and software services only. We do not publish, edit, endorse, or verify user-submitted content.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You may register using Email and Password or Google Sign-In.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Keep your account information current.
• Protect your login credentials.
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized account access.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Authors are solely responsible for the content they upload. By uploading any manuscript, cover image, or other material, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the intellectual property rights, or
• You have all necessary permissions and licenses to upload and distribute the material.

You grant ARC Platform a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform and distributing your ARC to authorized reviewers. You retain ownership of your content at all times.

Reviewers agree to:

• Use ARC copies solely for personal reading and review purposes.
• Submit honest reviews based on their own opinions.
• Respect any confidentiality expectations communicated by the author.

Reviewers must not redistribute manuscripts, sell ARC copies, upload manuscripts to file-sharing services, remove copyright notices, circumvent platform security, or share access links with unauthorized users.

All copyrights remain with the original rights holder. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of uploaded content to ARC Platform.

Platform software, branding, logos, designs, and trademarks remain the property of ARC Platform.

Users may only upload content they have the legal right to distribute. If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without authorization, please contact us with sufficient information to investigate the claim.

We reserve the right to remove allegedly infringing material while investigating complaints and to suspend or terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

• Manuscripts are stored only for the duration of the ARC campaign and any applicable grace period.
• After the retention period, manuscript PDF files may be permanently removed from storage.
• Removal of a manuscript does not delete associated book metadata, reviews, ratings, analytics, or historical records unless otherwise stated.

Once removed, a manuscript must be uploaded again if the author wishes to relaunch the ARC.

Reviews represent the opinions of individual reviewers. ARC Platform does not guarantee the accuracy, usefulness, fairness, or completeness of reviews.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms, including reviews containing spam, harassment, hate speech, illegal content, personal information, or fraudulent activity.

You agree not to upload illegal content, upload pirated or unauthorized books, upload malware or harmful software, attempt unauthorized access to the Platform, interfere with platform operations, scrape or harvest user data without authorization, create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, impersonate another individual or organization, or use automated systems to abuse the Platform.

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Platform may occasionally experience maintenance, upgrades, unexpected outages, or third-party service interruptions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, infringe intellectual property rights, engage in fraudulent activity, abuse the Platform, or threaten platform security.

We may remove uploaded content where required to protect the Platform, comply with legal obligations, or enforce these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ARC Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the Platform will meet every user's expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ARC Platform and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ARC Platform and its operators from claims, losses, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your unauthorized upload or distribution of content.

We may modify, improve, discontinue, or replace any feature of the Platform at any time. Where practical, significant changes affecting users will be communicated through the Platform or by email.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If you operate internationally, consult legal counsel to determine the appropriate governing law and dispute resolution provisions for your business.
